Start With Small Group Training

Strength training uses resistance in order to improve and increase muscle mass, build anaerobic endurance, and strengthen your bones. Complete strength training through your body’s natural support or through a mixture of weighted equipment. By practicing a range of exercises, small group training can teach participants how to properly exercise and boost their muscles. Our certified instructors will help each participant meet their health goals in a relaxed, supportive setting.

All of our small group classes are led by a Personal Trainer. These classes are available for beginners and advanced men, women, and seniors! Classes meet monthly either once or twice per week for 30 or 45 minutes. With a max of six participants, these classes are here to motivate you to reach your fitness goals. East Shore YMCA: TRX®

TRX® Suspension Training at the East Shore YMCA requires registration during our seasonal sessions. For session dates, please contact the East Shore YMCA at (717) 232-9622.

Drop-In Classes

Schedule:
  • Tuesdays from 1:30-2:15 PM
  • Thursdays from 12:00-12:45 PM and 1:30-2:15 PM
Fees:
  • YMCA Members Only
  • Drop-In Fee: $5.00/class
West Shore YMCA: TRX®

TRX® Suspension Training at the West Shore YMCA requires registration during our seasonal sessions. For session dates, please contact the West Shore YMCA at (717) 737-9622. If you’re new to TRX® and wish to give it a try, contact our Group Fitness Coordinator at (717) 737-9622 ext. 110 for a free 15-minute intro to TRX® class!

West Shore YMCA: Women On Weights

This group class is geared toward women, providing a specific workout program for each class in the session. Taught by a certified trainer, this class meets in the Functional Training Center 4 times per month for 45 minutes.
