Give to the Harrisburg Area YMCA During the 2024 Annual Campaign

There’s no place quite like the Y. We’re a vital part of our community, a welcoming place to learn new skills, connect with others, and access support in times of need. Our unique combination of services enriches the well-being of people of all ages and walks of life. As a nonprofit organization, we never turn away anyone who needs us. We need your financial support to continue to keep that promise.

Donate to Help the YMCA Continue Their Work:

The Y has strengthened the Harrisburg community for 170 years by empowering youth, encouraging healthy living, and supporting each other and our neighbors. The positive impact of the YMCA is needed now more than ever.

The pandemic’s far-reaching and enduring impacts, economically and socially, are still being felt in every corner of our region. From food security to wellness, recreating to learning, the Y helps youth, families, adults, and seniors reconnect, reengage, and recover – as a community and in the community.

With your help, we can ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has what they need to learn, grow and thrive with the Y’s support.

Will you help us in our mission to make our programs available to all regardless of their ability to pay?

A donation to the Y is a special kind of gift. A gift that is felt immediately in our community. When you give to the YMCA, your gift ensures the wellness and education of children, the support of your neighbors, and the health of older adults. Your gift allows the Y to do more for those who need it most For a better us.®

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your gift is tax-deductible. And we make sure that 100% of your contribution stays in your community, right here in your own neighborhood.

“I was struggling just to get by after being unemployed for two and half months. At any point, with my inability to keep up with payments, the Y could have ended enrollment for my two sons, but didn’t. The financial aid program showed compassion for my situation, and I am lucky and thankful to still be employed. I now have high hopes for the life of my family, and things can only improve from this point forward.”

For A Better Education

The Y believes that everyone should have access to the quality childcare their children need. YMCA childcare is learning-focused with staff trained to help children thrive. Donations give the YMCA the ability to impact MORE children with positive role models, educational opportunities, and a safe place to grow up.

For A Better Community

Our Harrisburg community is very important to our YMCA. The YMCA is available for affordable housing, meals, and a place for kids to safely interact with one another. At the Y, you see activities that form positive habits and relationships that change MORE lives. Donations to the YMCA fund programs that mentor young people, support older adults, and build family relationships.

For A Stronger Mission

At the Y, we believe that lasting personal and social change happens when we all work together. Every day we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure. When you give to the Y, you are funding life-changing programs that help thousands of children, adults, and families in the Harrisburg Area to learn, grow and thrive.

Your tax-deductible contributions are welcome throughout the year and may be made online, by mail, or by contacting the YMCA Association Office at (717) 232-2068.

Other Ways to Give

Heritage Club

The Harrisburg Area YMCA established the YMCA Heritage Club to recognize individuals and families who have designated a gift through their estate to benefit the YMCA Endowment Fund on behalf of the association and/or one of its branches and/or programs. For additional information about gift/estate planning please contact the YMCA Association Office at (717) 232-2068.

The YMCA Heritage Club is comprised of individual and families who believe strongly in the mission of the YMCA and help to preserve the good work of the YMCA through a direct gift or planned gift to the YMCA Endowment Fund. Gifts to the Endowment Fund may be made on behalf of the Harrisburg Area YMCA; one or more branches, or to support a specific program.
