Pickleball is a racquet sport in which two to four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials. They use these to hit a polymer perforated ball (whiffle ball) over a net. The sport shares features with other racquet sports. The dimensions and layout are the same as a badminton court; the net and rules are similar to tennis. This sport is popular among adults as a fun game for players of all skill levels!

All ages and skill levels are welcome to play. Opportunities to play are available at the East Shore, Friendship, West Shore, and Northern Dauphin County YMCAs. Play is pick-up style and ability levels are often mixed, helping to raise skill sets while allowing the game to grow.
