Y on Market is accessible through key fob only and is equipped with security cameras and an emergency AED.

I’m a current Fit on Market member. Do I have to pay more to access YMCA facilities?
Your current membership rate will be matched until your term with Fit on Market ends. Current Strawberry Square tenants and Fit on Market members can use code YONMARKET online to save 20% on the standard YMCA membership rate through June 30, 2026. As a founding member, this rate will stay with you as long as you stay with us!
Will my current Fit on Market membership key fob still work? Does it grant access to YMCA membership locations?
Your current Fit on Market key fob will continue to work until your term ends. To access our other membership locations, you’ll need a separate YMCA key card to scan in. Your Fit on Market key fob will not work any other YMCA location.
How can I access the YMCA facilities as a Fit on Market member?
Beginning April 1, Fit on Market members will be added to our YMCA membership software, Reclique Core. Once you are emailed confirmation that you have been added to our system, you can stop by any membership location to pick up your key card for facility access.
The Harrisburg Area YMCA has membership locations in Camp Hill, Downtown & Uptown Harrisburg, Lower Paxton Township, and Elizabethville. Harrisburg Area YMCA members can also participate in Nationwide Membership*, allowing you to visit participating YMCAs across the country.

Current Y Members:
I am already a member of the Harrisburg Area YMCA, will I be able to immediately use the Y on Market location?
No, not yet! Once we make the announcement, current and new members can go to any of our five membership locations to sign the Y on Market waiver and pay a one-time $20 activation fee to receive your key fob. This key fob will grant you access to the Y on Market facility during operating hours.
Waivers must be completed in-person and a photo ID must be presented for each adult purchasing an access key fob.
Who qualifies for Y On Market access?
Qualifying members (ages 18 and up and have completed high school) will be able to activate and retrieve their Y on Market access key fob. To start, visit any Harrisburg Area YMCA branch to complete a waiver and update your profile photo. Your key fob will be available for pickup at that same location after 24 hours.
What does the magnetic key fob access?
This magnetic key fob is separate from your regular membership key card. This key fob will open the entry door to the main Wellness Center on Market Street. All replacement fobs will incur a $20 fee.
Is there a separate waiver to utilize the Y on Market facility?
Yes, the waiver is to be signed at activation. This waiver is separate from the standard membership paperwork. Waivers must be completed in-person at any Harrisburg Area YMCA membership branch and a photo ID must be presented for each adult purchasing an access key fob.
Will my current membership key card work to access the Y on Market facility?
No, there is a separate key fob required to enter the facility.
What happens if I have an emergency while using Y on Market?
In the event of an emergency, a clearly labeled telephone, AED, and first aid kit are available in the facility. Please call 911 for assistance with an emergency.
What happens if a member violates the rules and guidelines stated in the Y on Market Access Waiver?
Adherence to the YMCA Code of Conduct and regulations is essential. Noncompliance may result in suspension or termination of YMCA membership. The YMCA reserves the right to revoke access at any time. Offenses include allowing non-Y on Market access members into the facility, violating the YMCA Code of Conduct, disregarding safety, destroying property, and attempting to access spaces not included in Y on Market.
Will there be a time when Y on Market is not accessible to activated members?
Access to Y on Market will be available for current YMCA members beginning May 2026. Access is expected to remain uninterrupted, except in rare cases such as major repairs or unforeseen circumstances. In those instances, all key fobs will be temporarily deactivated, and updates will be shared on our website and social media.
Can I utilize Y on Market on days that the YMCA is closed or delayed due to winter weather?
In the event that weather causes the Y to delay opening or close its facilities, those with Y on Market access can use the Market Street facility. Please exercise caution when choosing to visit Y on Market during inclement weather; we are not able to ensure optimal conditions at the time of your visit.
After I pay the activation fee, can I bring a friend or family member with me after hours?
No. Everyone must use their own key fob for access so we can track who is in the facility at all times. Key fobs cannot be shared with anyone; doing so is a violation of the Access Waiver and will result in permanent loss of Y on Market privileges and possible termination of your YMCA membership.
This includes Family/Household memberships; each adult must complete their own waiver and pay for their own key fob.
How can I store my belongings at Y on Market?
Y on Market includes men’s and women’s bathrooms with plenty of locker bays for storage. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. It is recommended to use a personal lock to keep your belongings safe. Lockers are for day use only.
