Step and Tone Classes
Choreographed to high energy music, this Step and Tone class offers a great cardio and strength workout. Creative and dynamic moves are incorporated in order to ensure a great calorie burn session.
Following your “Step” cardio session, varied upper and lower body toning exercises are incorporated using the body bar or free weights. Step aerobics not only help tone your glutes and legs but will help you build your stamina and increase endurance. Using step equipment (an elevated platform), participants will step to the rhythm of the music and complete upper body strength exercises. This session also focuses on abdominal work in order to complete your full-body workout.
Our Step and Tone workouts are great for increasing cardio, toning your muscles, and burning off those calories. If you enjoy step aerobics and working out the high energy music, check out our class at the Harrisburg Area YMCA. We offer both Step and Tone – Beginner Level and Step and Tone – Advance Level classes, depending on your abilities. This class is open to all ages and weight and step riser modifications are available for individuals with various needs.
