The Harrisburg Area YMCA is a great place to make new friends! Whether you are looking for a new challenge or a refreshing social group, the Y provides recreation programs for all ages to enjoy with our youth and adult Community Clubs!

You’ll find both competitive and casual activities ranging from team sports to social gatherings. With activities for all ages and skill levels, the Y is a place for everyone to stay active, healthy and involved. Not to mention, you can pursue your passions with and meet others that may inspire you.

We offer education opportunities as well as outreach programs to build community and grow relationships. A club is a great way to get plugged in and learn new life skills with individuals with similar interests. Our clubs are a great place to better each other.

YMCA Adventure Guides is a program offered in YMCAs across the country designed to strengthen the relationship between a parent and a child through their journey of discovery. Our Adventure Guides are available at the West Shore YMCA.

Please join us every Wednesday, 7:00-8:00AM in the YMCA Chapel!

15 Minutes for Faith & Fitness
Join us to talk about Christ, faith and prayer – before or after your workout – every Tuesday 5:15PM in the YMCA Chapel.

Genealogy Club - West Shore YMCA

West Shore YMCA

The Genealogy Club of the Harrisburg Area YMCA, West Shore Branch, is dedicated to preserving our local and family histories by providing interesting and informative speakers to the public and by making the cemetery records of Cumberland County available for family researchers. As an affiliated club of the YMCA, we are also dedicated to the overall YMCA mission, which is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

The club meets the 1st Sunday of each month at 3:00PM, September-June, unless it conflicts with a holiday weekend.

2017-2018 Dates: September 10, October 1, November 5, December 3, January 7, February 4, March 4, April 8, May 6
