Indoors and Outdoors
What better way to enjoy the outdoors than to play Flag Football at the YMCA! At the Harrisburg Area YMCA, we provide opportunities for kids of all ages to stay active! We aim to help build good sportsmanship through youth sports of various kinds. During the season, youth will learn and practice offensive and defensive skills in a team-based environment. This intramural sport offers a chance for youth to engage with their peers, practice healthy competition, and build team spirit. This program also gives youth an opportunity to hone their skills, learn the basic sport of football, and practice various strategies and techniques.
East Shore YMCA
The East Shore YMCA is excited to hold its first-ever NFL Flag Football program in 2024! Flag football has become one of the fastest-growing youth sports in the country. We are partnering with the NFL to offer a co-ed flag football league to the Harrisburg area. NFL FLAG leagues are no contact, giving kids of all abilities a chance to develop their fundamental football skills in a positive, inclusive environment.
Our league will help kids ages 5-13 discover the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendship—both on and off the field. Our league will consist of two skills assessment days. Each player will also receive an official NFL FLAG team jersey and a set of flags.
2024 Season
Game/Practice Schedule:
- March 17–June 16, 2024
- Practices and games held on Sundays (Saturday March 30th will be skills assessment, no practice on March 31)
- Unless otherwise communicated, all games and practices will be held at Sunshine Park in Harrisburg.
- Smurfs (Ages 5-7): 12:30-1:45 PM
- Peewee (Ages 8-10): 2:00-3:15 PM
- Pony (Ages 11-13): 3:30-4:45 PM
Assessment Schedule:
- Saturday, March 30, 2024 @ Sunshine Park
Fees:
- YMCA Members: $60
- Community Guests: $80
- No registrations will be accepted after 3/31/24

Northern Dauphin County YMCA
The Northern Dauphin County YMCA will host an NFL Flag Football Program for youth in grades K-8. This exciting team sport will encourage and engage youth and teens and connect them to the exciting world of the National Football League. Practices and games are held on Sundays.
2024 Season
Schedule:
- March 23–June 9, 2024
- Practices: March 23 (indoor assessments @ the Y), March 30, April 7, April 14
- Games: April 21, April 28, May 5, May 19, June 2, June 9
Fees:
- YMCA Members: $55
- Community Guests: $70
- Registration will increase to $80 for Community Guests after February 10, 2024.

Practices and games will be held at the Upper Dauphin High School Football Practice Field.
