At the East Shore YMCA, Massage Therapy is offered to both members and non-members in the community who are in need of massage treatments.
Massage Therapy not only feels good, but has a variety of health benefits, as well. Health benefits of a massage include improved muscle recovery after exercise, improved circulation, improved flexibility and range of motion, relieves stress, relaxes muscles, lowers your blood pressure, and relieves migraines and tension headaches.
The East Shore YMCA offers a variety of Massage Packages, along with various treatment services to help your body feel healthy and cleansed! Non-Members may purchase our massage or treatment services for an additional fee of $5.00.

Deep Tissue Massage
This technique is designed to reach the deep portions of thick muscles to release both toxins and tension. It addresses specific muscles or muscle groups, such as the upper back, and provides fast results for both pain and stress.

Relaxation Massage (Swedish)
This uses long gliding strokes, kneading, friction, tapping and shaking motions. It is effective for most ailments because massaging the skin creates a chain reaction that produces a positive effect on all layers and systems of the body.
Provides firm to medium pressure techniques. This type of massage focuses on areas of discomfort while relieving muscular tension, stress and work on a specific problem—such as a frozen shoulder.
