At the Harrisburg Area YMCA, no matter what your age, we encourage our community members to live their lives to the fullest. That means living a healthy lifestyle with the help of others. At our West Shore, East Shore, and Northern Dauphin County YMCAs, we provide programs that allow active older adults to come together to workout out and socialize.
The YMCA is a great place for individuals of all backgrounds and walks of life to focus on their health and wellness, while making new friends. Click below to find out what programs are available at a branch near you.
East Shore YMCA
The Active Older Adults club at the East Shore YMCA is open to all adults, regardless of age. Registration in the AOA Club is required to receive AOA Club discounts for aquatic, fitness, art & humanities classes and trips throughout the year.
AOA Club members receive a free daily parking token when they participate in AOA classes and/or special events! There is no membership fee for facility members to belong to the AOA Club, however, all participants must maintain at least an annual program membership to participate.
Lunch & Learns:
Find a community of friends at the YMCA with our social Lunch & Learns for Active Older Adults. Our gatherings allow you to pack a lunch and join your Y friends on the last Friday of each month at 11:30AM for group discussions (on hiatus during summer months). For more information on our Gatherings, visit the welcome center at our branch!
