TRX® Suspension Fitness Classes

TRX® Suspension Training is a revolutionary method of leveraged body weight exercise. Join the TRX® Suspension Training movement at the YMCA!

You can safely perform hundreds of exercises that build power, strength, flexibility, balance, mobility and prevent injuries, all at the intensity you choose with this program. Whether you are working your upper or lower body, your core is engaged with every exercise. A strong core helps prevent injuries and can minimize lower back pain.

During this class, you will be placed in positions of instability with the suspension straps so that your body will depend on your core for balance, coordination, and strength. Stay on the strap the entire class; there is no circuit! All TRX® equipment is provided for the class, so just bring yourself. Our certified trainers will work with you to make sure you are receiving the best workout possible – no matter what your level and ability.

The Y holds TRX® classes at the East Shore and West Shore YMCA branches.

East Shore YMCA

The East Shore YMCA offers 45 minute classes throughout the year. A $4 Drop-In Fee is required to participate and class size is limited to 12 participants. Participants must register in advance at the Front Desk of the East Shore YMCA.

Personal Training for TRX® is available at the East Shore YMCA for one-on-one sessions. See fees below.

Northern Dauphin County YMCA

The Northern Dauphin County YMCA offers TRX® Personal Training sessions, based on the preference of members attending. Members have the flexibility of choosing the dates and times of their sessions.

Fees:

  • 1 Session – $10
  • Pack of 5 Sessions – $45
  • Pack of 10 Sessions – $80
  • West Shore YMCA

    TRX® Suspension Training at the West Shore YMCA requires registration during our seasonal sessions. For 2017 session dates, please contact the West Shore YMCA at 717-737-9622. If you’re new to TRX® and wish to give it a try, contact our Group Fitness Coordinator at 737-9622 ext. 110 for a free 15-minute Intro to TRX® class!
