Women on Weights Program

Add more strength training to your fitness routine! The Women on Weights (W.O.W.) program is open to women of all ages in order to help them feel confident in strength training.

Coached by a personal trainer, this 45-minute class will provide you with the knowledge to successfully incorporate strength training into your own workouts. A new class starts each month and meets twice a week.

Strength Training is important for both men and women. Working with weights can be intimidating, but offer a variety of health benefits in the long-run. Benefits to strength training include increased muscle mass and bone health, aiding in weight loss, prevention of injury and various diseases, and can burn extra calories during your workouts. Not only will your body be more toned and fit, adding muscle to your body can help to improve your endurance, posture, and even your balance.

Various strength-training tips are offered by our certified personal trainers, so that you can get the most out of your workout the next time you use the Wellness Center. Each Women on Weights class is tailored to your needs and abilities. It is our goal to help you improve your knowledge, so that you can do it on your own!

Fees:

  • Facility Members – $45
  • Program Members – $60
