Body Sculpting Classes
Sculpt your body through muscle-strengthening exercises in a group exercise environment!
The Harrisburg Area YMCA provides Body Sculpting classes for members to stay fit and active, while strengthening and toning their body. This class is an anaerobic, muscle-toning class focused primarily on core and body muscle strength. Most sculpting classes will use a combination of stability balls, exercise bands, and dumbbells, while participants will perform traditional weight-training moves in a class setting.
Body Sculpting not only helps strengthen your muscles, but helps to protect your bones, as well. The benefits of building lean, but strong, muscles include bone health, tissue health, and can help reduce your risk of injury throughout life. During the class, participants will burn calories and fat, while increasing their overall metabolism through the simple act of building lean muscle.
At our branch, we seek to provide programs that accomplish healthy living goals for all of our members. Strengthening your muscles plays a significant role in your health, and we want to help you get there! Our classes are modifiable for all levels and abilities. The instructors will make you feel comfortable and confident in your exercise so you can reach your full potential.
