Play Pickleball at the Harrisburg Area YMCA!
Pickleball is a racquet sport in which two to four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a polymer perforated ball (whiffle ball) over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis with a few modifications. This sport is popular among adults as a fun game for players of all skill levels.
All ages and abilities are welcome to play! Pickleball is currently available at the West Shore YMCA branch and there are two indoor courts available. Play is pick-up style and ability levels are often integrated helping to raise skill sets while allowing the game to grow.
The West Shore YMCA has easy setup nets, wooden paddles, and pickleballs for playing. Some players choose to bring a personal paddle and preferred ball, which is also acceptable.
Pickleball is currently available on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the week. Days and Time are subject to change, so please visit our schedules page to find out when this program is available.
